We realise that you have a selection of accommodation options to choose from, though we would be delighted to have you stay with us. We are privileged to have many guests return on a regular basis and we value our customers loyalty. Our staff take great pride in accommodating our guests needs, and we aim to make your stay a memorable and enjoyable one.

The terms and conditions, as agreed by both parties, are as follows:

When you book with Eungella Mountain Edge Escape we hold the cabin for you exclusively. Therefore, although we understand that unexpected events can arise, unfortunately if you cancel you may still incur a charge. While we endeavour to be as flexible as possible, our standard policy is as follows:

  • If less than 14 days notice is provided then payment is non-refundable, unless we can re-let the cabin for the entire period of your booking. For prize and gift vouchers the voucher is forfeited, unless cabin can be re-let for the entire period of stay.
  • In the event that you cancel your booking 14 days or more prior to arrival, then we are happy to hold your payment for a later date. If you prefer a refund, the full payment received will be refunded onto the same credit card used at time of booking.
  • Changes to confirmed booking, after your arrival, are subject to a cancellation fee equal to the full tariff of all days cancelled/amended, unless we can relet the cabin for the entire period. Gift and prize vouchers are forfeited, unless we can relet the cabin for the entire period.
  • If guests fail to make an appearance, resulting in a no show, payment is non-refundable. Gift or prize vouchers are forfeited.

Cancellation policy is not applicable during natural disasters in Mackay region;  such as active cyclones and severe flooding- which may make it impossible for you to travel to your destination by road and/or air.




To secure your reservation a 50% deposit is required at time of booking, accepted payment methods: mastercard or visa.

Remaining balance

The remaining balance paid 14 days prior to arrival.


Confirmation will be forwarded to your email address upon receiving payment. Important information is featured in email, therefore, please ensure confirmation is read prior to your arrival.

Billing You agree that any charge for services to you, not billed at the time of your departure, will be charged.  You agree to pay for any excess cleaning charges at $ 25.00 per hour, or part thereof. Admin charges apply. Charges apply for loss or damage to; the room, furnishings & property.  If the nightly tariff charges apply for rental income loss caused by until the accommodation can be re-let.  We reserve the right to process any additional charges and/or nightly accommodation loss using the credit card supplied at time of booking. Charges apply for any undisclosed guests.

Standard Check in and departure times

Check in from 2.00 pm, departure time by 10.00 am. A late check out time can be arranged with us for an additional fee, if you book in advance (based on availability). You agree that if you check out after the agreed 10.00 am departure time, you will incur an additional charge of $ 25.00, per hour.

Minimum Stays (School holidays, Long weekends, Festive season and Public holidays)

A minimum 2 night stay applies throughout Queensland school holidays. During Long weekends, public holidays and festive season a minimum stay period also applies (minimum stay periods vary during these times, enquiries welcome).


Nightly tariffs featured on our website are based on 1-2 adults (single/couple- using a double/Queen bed). Twin share (separate beds) and/or extra guests an additional charge of $ 10.00 per person, per night. Tariffs are subject to change.

Sleeping capacity

Each cabin is equipped for a specific number of guests. It is against Health regulations for more persons to occupy a cabin than there are beds to accommodate them. If a cabin is overloaded, the guests will be asked to vacate the premises and the remainder of the stay will not be refunded.

Additional guests and/or additional bed usage

Guests agree to be charged for any additional guests and/or beds used over and above what was reserved at the time of booking.

Furnishings: Do not remove blankets, furniture or furnishings from cabins!  Charges and admin costs apply (at the discretion of management) for any damage, loss and replacement of property. Guests agree to incur such costs.

Moving of furniture and/or other items

Please return all items to their original position and/or cabin. Time spent moving items back to their original position will incur an additional charge of $ 25.00 per hour, or part thereof. Guests agree to incur such costs. Do not remove blankets and furnishings from the cabins.


Dish washing products are provided in kitchenettes for guests to use daily. Our aim is to provide guests with affordable accommodation tariffs. For reasonable rates to continue please assist us by washing, drying and putting away dishes prior to departing. Guests agree to incur costs of $ 25.00 per hour, or part thereof, for time spent on additional cleaning.

No Pets

Strictly no animals permitted- except for Guide, hearing and assistance dogs (please show permit).


Please respect the privacy of other guests. Any excessive noise may result in the cancellation of your booking and the remainder of your stay will not be refunded.

No Smoking

Smoking is not permitted inside the cabins. An outdoor balcony area is provided for smokers use. Please ensure doors & windows on balcony are closed to avoid cigarette smoke from entering cabin. In the event of any residual odour and/or damage, guests agree to be charged a minimum of 1 nights accommodation and/or any additional nightly tariff loss & cleaning costs, until such time as the cabin can be deodorised and can be re-let.

Amendments to policies

We reserve the right to change any terms and conditions by general notice on our web-site and by using this website you agree, in advance, to accept such changes.


No liability is accepted for any injury, debt, damage, loss, delay, expense or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by events beyond the owners control. No responsibility is taken for guests personal property left on or near the premises.

Additional costs for damage, breakage, additional cleaning and loss

Guests are responsible (aside from normal wear and tear) for any loss or damage arising from breakages or other damage to the cabins,  property and establishment during their stay- including any additional excess cleaning fees, repairs or replacement of items and admin costs. Guests also assume responsibility for any visitors to the cabin & establishment, and agree to pay the cost of replacement, repair and/or additional cleaning (at the discretion of management) of any such item damaged or lost, caused by themselves, or their visitors.  Key replacement charges apply. Do not remove blankets and furnishings from the cabins. Please notify us of any damage or breakages before departing.

Refusal of entry Management reserves the right to refuse bookings and/or entry to return guests who have caused damage or disruption to cabin property and/or it’s guests on a previous stay.

Eviction Management reserve the right to evict guests who are causing damage or disruption to property and/or it’s guests. If eviction is warranted the guest must immediately vacate the premises. Remainder of stay non-refundable.
